Does anyone fancy some fresh air? Maybe a walk in the park? This innocent question could take on a completely different meaning in London next weekend with the POKER IN THE PARK event! The event will see thousands of poker players – amateurs and professionals – get together in London for this challenging event.
Poker players from across the United Kingdom will get together for the Poker in the Park event scheduled to take place at London’s Hanover Square on September 2nd and 3rd. Poker in the Park is the largest free poker festival in Europe and will offer a great opportunity to play against some of the best players in the UK. The pub poker leagues of Great Britain will be part of the event, as will UK poker stars Sam Trickett, Neil Channing and many other great British poker players.
For this fifth edition of the free poker festival, organisers expect thousands of players to take part in the tournament under two giant Poker Domes. The format will be turbo sit and go tournaments and the atmosphere will be electric as everyone competes to make it to the final tables.
The event will also have the summer festival feel with live music, entertainment, free strategy advice from some of the world’s best players, autograph signings and celebrity guests! It will be a great day out for everyone with an interest in Poker.
How to get to Poker in the park?
The event will take place at Hanover Square in Central London and is only a few minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus underground station. Make sure to check the travel news before you set off and allow plenty of time to get to the event.
What to expect?
The poker festival will feature a range of live sit-and-go poker competitions alongside heads-up tournaments on cutting-edge electronic tables. Two giant marquees will host the tournaments with live entertainment and merchandising on site. It’s great to see such a fun event taking place in the UK and away from the high stake tables in Las Vegas.
