While betting on the Royal Wedding is very hot at the moment, there’s another British Queen who’s also attracting  plentyof bets. Once you’ve placed a bet on the colour of the Queen’s hat on the day of the Royal Wedding, you can turn your attention to the Queen of fashion – Victoria Beckham.

Since it was revealed that David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are expecting a girl, gamblers have been rushing to online bookmakers to place a bet on the girl’s name. You might wonder why British punters are so passionate about a family leaving in Las Vegas. The truth is, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have never left the public eye, not since they both became famous and got together and not even when they moved to LA.

Although, admittedly, there had been less press coverage about the couple since they had moved to LA, the fact that David Beckham came back to the UK recently to train with Tottenham Hotspurs and the fact that Victoria is expecting their fourth child have triggered a new passion with the British public.

This interest and  passion for the Becks is being translated in the amount of gamblers turning to their local bookies or playing online. The favourite name with the bookies is currently Luna, the Spanish or Italian word for Moon. Victoria is said to have picked the name last time she was expecting, for her son Cruz, if he hadn’t been a boy. Because one of the three sons is named Romeo, you can also get 4/1 odds on the baby girl being named Juliet. Other options include Chardonnay (50/1), London (100/1), Geri (100/1) and Posh (250/1) but I would not advise anyone to put money on these bets.

More realisticly, the top 5 will be Luna, Juliet, Emily, Olivia and Lily. So many gamblers will place a small bet on one of these names for the daughter.

Amongst the other options, some are quite cute and nice and others are very silly. We liked  Juliet(4/1), Jacqueline (6/1), Sandra (7/1), Jessica (8/1), Emily(10/1), Olivia (10/1), Ruby (10/1), Catherine (12/1), Angel (12/1), Lily (10/1),  Holly (16/1), Melanie (33/1) and Coco (100/1).

Victoria and David will have to keep the selection private as when the mentioned they liked the name Luna, they were faced with a blow. His teammate Frank Lampard and his ex Elen Rivas gave the name to their eldest daughter soon after Cruz was born.

Maybe she will find the inspiration for the name when they visit London on April 29th for Prince William and Kate’s wedding day. Posh and Becks are invited as Prince William and David Beckham became friends when working together on England’s bid to host the 2018 World Cup.
