Progress for New London Hippodrome Casino
A new giant casino in central London is under construction and will open later on this year. The new Hippodrome Casino will be situated in London’s Leicester Square, offering a new gambling venue right in the heart of London. A new 5 star W Hotel opened in February just around the corner on the other side of Leicester Square. The new luxury hotel together with the super casino are set to transform touristy Leicester Square into the city’s coolest area.
Will London Get Its Super Casino?
Plans were unveiled at the end of March 2011 for a new super casino to be built in London, next to the London 2012 Olympic Park. The new casino licence had been awarded to the British casino group Aspers. The group is owned by the Aspinall family and is a well established casino group. They run other gambling venues in the United Kingdom including the very exclusive Aspinalls Club in Mayfair.
