British hacker jailed for stealing poker chips
Between June and September 2009, Ashley Mitchell, a computer hacker from England, entered the Zynga poker computer network illegally in order to steal poker chips. For months, he transferred the poker chips from a handful of employee accounts to himself and sold them on through Facebook. It’s only because the volume of poker chips being moved from account to account was so large (about 400bn of virtual poker chips in total), that the fraud was detected.
